We welcome the PSNI initiative to combat the rise in burglaries

BURGLARS LOOK OUT… MERCURY IS WATCHING YOU

New statistics released by the Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI) has revealed that between April 1, 2015 and January 25, 2016, in Northern Ireland there were an alarming 7,266 burglaries, at both domestic and business premises.

On the back of these latest figures, the PSNI has launched a major operation aimed at reducing the number of burglaries in Northern Ireland and to apprehend those responsible. Recent provisional figures reveal that the total number of burglaries are up by 2.1% on the same period the previous year, including a rise of 3.7% in the number of incidents at residential properties*.
Local independent security company, Mercury Security & Facilities Management, welcomes the PSNI initiative and has a range of effective solutions to help protect people, their homes and their businesses, explained Francis Cullen, Director of Mercury Security.

“We want people to know that there are effective home and business protection options available to them, in a range of budgets that can provide real peace of mind. The experience of being burgled can be a very traumatic one, with victims left feeling angry, violated and unsafe, so we fully support the PSNI operation to combat this awful crime,” said Mr Cullen.
Francis continued: “Mercury Security & Facilities Management has the expertise to offer bespoke, intelligent solutions to protect people and their property.

One of our many security solutions is the Mercury Homewatch wireless alarm system which utilises a wireless security camera to detect intruders, sound an alarm and provide a live visual feed to the owner’s smart phone or to Mercury’s NSI Gold approved Command and Control Monitoring centre.

“Once an intruder is detected the Mercury Homewatch system gives home owners a range of options including the chance to alert the PSNI and engage with the intruder via an audio intercom feature. The Mercury Homewatch is a wonderful way for people to feel protected and safe. A great feature is our live visual feed which also has audio, meaning home owners can issue a warning, if they need to, to scare off any criminals or to inform them that the police are on their way. We can also provide options to monitor and maintain homeowners existing alarms and have various security solutions to suit business owners as well as home owners,” concluded Mr Cullen.

Mercury Security & Facilities Management Ltd provides bespoke stand alone and integrated security solutions to clients across a number of sectors including retail, finance, government, residential, transport, public sector, pharmaceuticals, distribution, construction companies, hotels and leisure, etc.
